Pac-Man Love
I haven't been crafting much recently due to being busy with other things so I thought I would share the first thing I made for my boyfriend. It is a magnet done on 14 ct plastic canvas and made especially for Valentine's Day.

Tetris Magnets
Inspired by a post at Geek Crafts, I started making my own set of tetris magnets a long time ago. Of course, I had to complicate things by painting each and every individual block, which took forever, but my first set is finally done!

Girl Power! Part 2
I decided to adapt my last design so that it could be stitched on a 14 ct aida bookmark. I also changed the crown so that it is Princess Peach's crown from Super Mario Brothers 2. The colors are the same two from the last design (DMC 899 and 726). Oh, and because I'm indecisive, I have a slight variation of this design too.

Girl Power!
I have wanted to stitch this saying for a long time, but I could never quite figure out how to arrange the text. I had almost forgotten about it completely until a few days ago it hit me that it would make a great bookmark! Off to kg-chart I went and this is what I designed.

A Few Loose Screws
I'm returning to my theme of idioms for madness/craziness. I have no font to reference this time since I came up with this one on my own. It's all backstitch, but if you wanted to, you could attempt to fill in the screws and wood with cross stitches. I just liked the look of it without it.

Egad! It's Pinky!
I finally finished Pinky! I decided against doing a response to the Brain's "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" because there were too many funny responses to pick from. I took the font from here, but changed the N to my liking.

Pinky and the Brain
I'm almost finished with my Pinky cross stitch, but I wanted to share this pattern of Pinky and the Brain together first since I had to shorten Pinky for the pattern I'm doing now.

Mad as a Hatter in a Hoop
I decided to stitch up one of my mad hatter patterns. It's the perfect size for these small hoops and the scraps of 14 ct aida I have.

Mad as a Hatter
I'm still using the crazy theme as inspiration for my cross stitch designs. The font for this pattern was found at stitchpoint.com. I had trouble picking just one design to share for this idea so keep reading for two variations of it.

Are you pondering what I'm pondering?

I based the pattern for Brain off of the large sprite found here. It's been so long since I started working on this pattern that I honestly do not remember if I based the font off of one I found or just decided to wing it. All I do know is that I'm so excited to have it done even if I do keep looking at what else I could change to make it better.

Variegated Floss
A few weeks ago I found some variegated floss on clearance at my local craft store. I was so excited to try it out that I quickly came up with a simple pattern and went to stitching. Unfortunately, I wasn't as careful as I should have been when placing my stitches so what I ended up with is a bad camouflage effect. I guess next time I try to stitch with variegated floss, I'll google tips for doing so first.

Huzzah!
My boyfriend says this often so I made him a magnet. The letters are based off of the alphabet found here. It's a very simple pattern, but I wanted to post something while I'm working on a bigger project.

Gold = DMC 783
The backstitch alphabet I used can be found here.
Inspired by Art Deco design and needing a good border, I came up with this after not being satisfied with anything else I could find for free online. I've modified the pattern some from the version I stitched up so it should fit a little better in a standard 5x7 frame when stitched on 16 ct aida.

Peace, Love and Pac-Man
An Introduction
About a year ago, I started learning about cross stitching and began making my own patterns. I've tried a few other creative projects in that time as well and thought that it might be interesting to document my endeavors and share what I do with others. My thinking is that if I enjoy it, maybe someone else out there will too. Plus, it saves my boyfriend from getting bombarded with emails about my latest "masterpieces".
