I just thought I would share my University of Tennessee pattern.

Team Spirit?
So I finally finished a very belated Christmas present. (I know. I know. But I've been busy!) It is the first time I've done anything with this many stitches for someone else. I made the pattern completely on my own and just added my nephew's name at the bottom with a free alphabet I found at yarntree.com. My brother is a huge University of Tennessee fan so I tried to do a miniature version of the football field. I intentionally cropped out my nephew's name at the bottom for the sake of anonymity (and out of respect for my brother, who may not want me sharing his kid's name. I just don't know. He won't read this, but I try to be considerate.) I hope the gift goes over well. I probably won't be doing another one until after July when my program officially ends and I will (fingers crossed) start a new job!
P.S. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I framed it before I even attempted to photograph it. I was so excited to have it done.

Fun with Tetris
A long time ago I had some fun photographing my Tetris magnets and thought I would share.
Anyway, back to cross stitching a Christmas gift. At this rate I'll never finish it in time. :(

Interesting Find
So I've been quite busy lately and not doing any fun hobbies. However, sometimes I remember my past endeavors and get curious about whether anyone else has looked at them or used the patterns. This is exactly what I did tonight when I found this Pinky and the Brain LEGO mural.
No credit is given for the pattern, but it looks very familiar to me:
I am a big fan of LEGO, but I must admit that it would have been cool to get some credit, which should be shared with The Spriters Resource as well. My pattern is a simplified (fewer colors) and slightly manipulated version of their sprites. I guess my main hope is that if the guy did use my pattern that he did it purely for fun and not for profit.

My New Hobby
I haven't been doing any crafty activities recently. Instead, I have been learning how to use my new camera that I got for Christmas in manual mode. I got an Olympus E-PL1 and I really like it so far. Minus the cost of the camera, it is a relatively cheap hobby, which fits perfectly within my current budget.

I haven't given up completely on other endeavors. Sometimes it is just fun to take a break from one thing to learn about something new.

Mini Coffee Subway Art Pattern
When I showed my mom what I had made for my grandmother, she seemed to get jealous so I've been trying to come up with a pattern related to one of her favorite things: coffee. Unfortunately, I don't think this one is quite her style, but I think it is pretty cool so I'm sharing it. All of the fonts (except one) and the coffee cup came from various free patterns online. I had to make up the bottom font because I couldn't find another one that fit.

Peace
I made this recently for my grandmother. I took up cross stitching because I love all the pieces of it she did over the years that now fill up her house. She doesn't know I do this as a hobby though so I think she'll be surprised. I borrowed the dove pattern from a free one I found online and got the text from a cross stitch text generator so I can't really share the pattern since none of it is my own. I have no idea what I'm going to do next. I'm still recovering from a week spent with 10 two year old rambunctious kids at Vacation Bible School and thoroughly enjoying just laying in bed while listening to music. I do have a lot of unfinished patterns and thoughts so maybe I'll revisit one of those soon.
